Diary of a Skinny Queen

Typical Breakfast
I’ve never been one to ever care for what goes into my body or worry about dieting. I guess I was just born lucky enough to were I’ve been relatively thin my whole life. However, as we all know looks can be deceiving and how I look might not be a reflection on my health. After keeping this food journal I came to the realization that I need to be more cautious of what I eat.

Pictured above is a typical Breakfast for me throughout the school week. You see, I don't necessarily have time to make myself breakfast in the morning as my mornings are really busy and consist of myself rushing to get out of my house on time, so this is what I've had to resort to. While I know cookies aren't one of the healthiest choices it's at least something to keep me satisfied for the time being.

With my food journal I was able to see that I have a tendency of snacking throughout the day. More specifically snacking on chips and popcorn. Once again not the healthiest of choices, but when at school there is not many options to choose and so once again I indulge in junk food. I know that that's not a good excuse as I could pack an apple to eat as a snack, but I just don't have time. I guess you could say I eat things that are more convenient for me to get.
After work "Snack"

Another tendency of mine that this food journal allowed me to discover was the unhealthy amount of times I eat out. During this week I ate out NINE TIMES!!! I know that's like every day plus two, but I do have an excuse throughout this week it was my mom's Birthday and so a Birthday dinner was a must. Three of these days I ate at work because after my shift I always get hungry even though I eat at home before going to work, and I also get a fifty percent off employee discount which doesn't hurt. Mind you I eat about three to four meals a day not including snacks, so if you do the math it's about a third of what I eat.

When I get home from school I typically eat whatever my mom has made and try to drink water. My mom is more health conscious and likes to substitute ingredients for a healthier option. For example, if she's going to make rice she'll make multigrain rice as it is healthier that regular and white rice. She'll also buy almond milk and use coconut oil to cook. I will strive to be more like her and choose to be more self aware of what I digest.
How I'm trying to  be

Honestly I'm surprised by the amount of junk food I eat as I didn't expect it to be this much.  From now on I will also be putting in effort to obtain a healthier diet and lifestyle. I know for a fact that eating the way I am eating now will put me at risk for many diseases later in life. This food journal made me double think the choices I was making and allowed me to seek ways to change them.

  2. Woah, hey. I can’t relate to you eating out nine times a week, in a usual week for me I eat out zero times. But, you have circumstances that cause you to eat out. And it’s nice that you go for the wraps instead kf the greasy sandwiches
