Blog 6 YUh! the End :(

When it comes to my writing I’m always quite aware of improvements that could be made. For  up and coming research paper I have decided to focus on my second essay. The reason for this is primarily due to the fact that I feel as if I can elaborate more on the subject. For those unaware my second essay was on me reflecting and discussing ways I could reduce my risk of diseases hereditary in my family.

So far my research has not really been that difficult due to the fact that  I’ve had a close relationship to these diseases which include diabetes and high cholesterol. Since some of my relatives have these diseases I am already somewhat informed on them which puts me at an advantage when finding research  to back up my claims in my essay. I also will conduct an interview on my Aunt who has type two diabetes to get a good primary source as she knows what it is like first hand to have it.

In specific when it comes to my sources I will stray away from using search engines such as google and try to mainly use databases provided by the Lee College Library. I will look more into how much genetics really play into the risks of getting these diseases and see what can factually be done to reduce the risks. Furthermore, I will also edit my essay to see the best way to incorporate this new information.

Some mistakes I have noticed I typically make in my writing are simple punctuation and grammar mistakes. However,this time around I will take advantage and utilize the writing center to better my writing. Overall, so far I feel confident that this essay will be better than my previous ones and will hopefully give the reader more inight on genetics and how that mixed with a bad lifestyle can impact your health in negative ways.
